I am a 78 year old I thought pretty healthy adult who last September had what I found out was the start of IBS-D. In reality whether caused by age or something else I have been in a world of frustration and trips to the bathroom. For months I have investigated ways to help myself. The medical profession only went so far and is also grappling with how to handle this especially on a case by case basis since each person is unique. I have been taking Probiotics for years but found that I was missing some and over taking others and it needed a change. By chance I stumbled upon Adolescentis and looked for a source. Not only is Human Strain the only source, they do it correctly. Long story how and why but they do it right. I started taking it and was amazed how it helped me. They also have a Complete Prebiotic which I am going to start to take to do a complete job and regain my health!

On my second bottle. Taking it doesn't cause any histamine reaction. I can't say I notice any instant changes, but I am looking for longterm benefits based on information I have read about bifidobacterium adolescentis. The bottle it is packaged in seems good for keeping moisture out. I am excited for the gut health benefits because it seems to be made of good quality.
I started taking probiotics regularly this year. This one seems to be good. It is about the same price as my regular brand. It does not need refrigeration and is shelf stable.The capsules are standard in size and easy to swallow. There are no off tastes or odors. They are easy to swallow.The bottle is fairly large compared to the quantity—a pet peeve so took a star off for that. There are 30 in the bottle with the recommended dose of one per day.
Well this stuff works! I’m kinda shocked but ready reviews and this product actually helps, which feels rare in the ever-growing supplement world. I decided to try this before taking out a small loan for Seed products. I’m on week one and I can now leave the house without having to take 2 Imodium every day. Boy, do I wish I’d found this probiotic sooner. Bonus is that my anxiety is also so much better either because I can leave the house confidently or because of the gut-brain deal. All in all, I definitely recommend trying this product. What have you got to lose?!
This just didn't work for me. I took one immediately, and instead of keeping me regular, it really bunged me up. I got so constipated, that I was in a lot of pain. It got rid of the diarrhea certainly, but at the expense of stopping my digestive tract altogether.
This probiotic has worked wonders with my leaky gut. I feel that I digest food better and am less gassy/bloated than I used to be. I find it easier to go regularly and just feel lighter and more energetic. When I first started taking these capsules, I felt a lot of rumbling in my stomach, but that has leveled out with regular consumption. The recommended dose is 1 capsule a day, which makes this bottle a 1-month supply. I feel that the quality is there and it definitely works well for me, but it is a bit outside of my price range to take regularly.
The packaging looks very professional and high quality, giving the product a premium feel. The price does seem on the higher side, though I haven’t compared much within this supplement category. I understand it may take time to see noticeable results with probiotics, so I’ll need to use it consistently before judging its full effectiveness. Who knew using biologically appropriate bacteria for the gut would be so effective. I've tried a lot of probiotics over the last decade and a half, routinely rotating just to keep diversity going. My preference has long been at home fermented foods and Visbiome. Vis is an expensive product but has served me well. I found this concept from Element interesting and decided to give it a go. Flat out a noticeable improvement in digestion and bathroom habits in just about a week. For the money I don't think there's a more potent and impactful supplement that I've taken as of late. At less than two bucks a day I will absolutely be repurchasing this probiotic.

I'm not sure about the healthy aging or cognitive effect as it's too soon to be recognized, but I can tell this product helps with my digestion and the circulatory system (less bloating, less heartburn, less stomach upset and morning routine is normal/regular.The bottle is only 1/4 full with 30 capsules (I wonder why the manufacturer needs such a big bottle for just 30 capsules while the capacity can hold 4 times more), it's quite pricey compare to other probiotic products.However, your health is important, so if the product works for you, it's worth buying (I hope in a long run, price will be more affordable).
I've just begun using v this formula. First time I've seen anything quite like it with these " human strains" of native flora. Interesting that they are found in those over 80 years of age, whole other more common are not. Does this speak to human longivity? Perhaps it does. At any rate it would seem many unique benefits are present. My sister has a particularly difficult time with her stomach. With bouts of sudden unexplained loose stool. Or the urge to pass with no culmination. This so far is the only probiotic that addressed this concern. The formula comes well packaged with taper proof seal, well within expiration date. So far neither of us has had any ill effects. There is no discernible taste nor smell. The capsules have proved easy to swallow and of average size. One a day is all that is needed. I had no problem taking without food. I'm not sure how to address functionality in taking a supplement. Yes the bottle works just fine, as do the caps. I can not determine value for money as of yet. If it helps its worth the cost. I'm hoping the positive effects will last on after the final pill is taken. That I see some repair and colonization. Why I suspect the premium price tag. I will revisit in 30 days.

I've only been using this for a week, and therefore can't speak to long term effects, but I did A LOT of research before ordering it, so I'll focus on that. I highly, HIGHLY encourage anyone considering this to read a bit about B.A. to truly understand why it's important/benefits.Why did you pick this product vs others?:As mentioned above, this has Bifidobacterium adolescentis -- most other brands do not. Studies on B.A. link it to improved gut barrier function, reduced inflammation, cognitive support, etc., and helps w. maintaining a healthy microbiome as we age. Quality:Most probiotic brands don’t use Bifidobacterium adolescentis because it's *much* more expense (difficult to cultivate & stabilize) so they use the cheaper/easier Lactobacillus acidophilus or Bifidobacterium lactis. The fact this brand uses it speaks volumes re: quality, as a lot of time and testing has to be put into the formulation of it. Value for money:This is more expensive than your store brand probiotic, for sure. But you get what you pay for when it comes to ingredients.As mentioned above, it's too soon to really see major effects, but I'm very happy with it overall. Easy to take, I feel it already helps digestion, etc.
If you've used others without success, these could be worthwhile. Although this is about the emptiest pill bottle I've ever seen, pricey, and without a child resistant cap, I'll still recommend this leisure for its uniqueness. [being a human-derived probiotic]The capsules have a characteristic scent that I'm taking as a sign of activity.. and I stored these in a cooler area just to be on the safe side [although the description states refrigerating unnecessary].
I ordered these probiotics to take in tandem with another supplement that I need, but that has a tendency to leave me constipated. When taking this supplement with that one there was absolutely NO constipation. Therefore, it serves the purpose I purchased it for(balanced gut health). This probiotic, while somewhat costly, is not much more costly that what I would pay at vitamin shop. It states it is manufactured in the USA, though I am weirded out by claims that it is 'human derived.' The video states it comes from humans. I would really like some clarification and explanation in that department. That is why I did a double check to be sure I wasn't ingesting something harvested from humans 😅. And that double check did not provide any answers lol. This IS a 5 star product, it does work how you would expect an expensive probiotic to work, I would just appreciate clarification in the wording on the ad. If same strain of bacteria found in humans, cool. If strain harvested from humans, please explain more because I just wonder how that is achieved?
I have taken this for a while, noting no negative side effects. The pills are fairly easy to swallow - not trivial to the degree where I'd recommend them for someone with swallowing difficulties (without breaking them apart), but no stretch for an adult without constrictions.The pill jar holds thirty pills, and is massively outsized for the amount it carries - more than half its volume is plain air, for some reason; maybe they have a sixty- or ninety-count version too that uses the same jars and are saving on production line costs. The feeling is that inflation has eaten up more pills you would have been getting in the past, but I believe that is just unsubstantiated fantasy. Or maybe it's an odd way of getting enough surface on the jar to print some almost readable instructions and infomercials about what the product purportedly does.We're not allowed to comment on that in reviews by terms of service, lest it be seen as health advice or promise of good outcomes, so I won't go there here, though.
What caught my attention and set this probiotic apart from the zillions of others available out there were two things: one, that the bifidum adolescentes apparently actually comes originally from the human gut, as opposed to coming from dairy or soil or various other sources from which we usually get probiotics. Somehow that just makes sense to me, to colonize the human gut with something that actually comes originally from the human gut, rather than something foreign. But what really caught my eye was the fact that they claim that this probiotic encourages the body's natural production of Gaba. Now that is a very big deal for me, because I struggle with anxiety and with sleep issues. I already take Gaba supplementation on a daily basis, but how much better might I feel and how much better might it be if my body were producing more of its own to begin with? They also claim that this particular strain is found in a lot of people between the ages of 80 and 100, which I think also recommends it.My only objections are the rather exorbitant price, is that really necessary? Also, the bottle is way larger than it needs to be. When you open it, you find that it is only about a third full. Is that necessary? And considering that the bottle is so much larger than it needs to be anyway, I don't understand why they don't mention somewhere on the bottle that these are produced in a GMP facility and third party tested. These are quality control measures that I consider absolutely necessary in any supplements I take, and the fact that this information is nowhere to be found on the overly large bottle seems like poor marketing. I had to look on the product details page, and there they do make those claims, so I will trust that they really are produced in a GMP facility and third-party tested. There were literally hundreds of options, and they all seemed to have their own spin. Some talked about the number of CFUs (sidebar, how can one have “20 billion” CFUs and another have “850 billion” and they be the same thing?) and some talked about special capsules. It feels fully like the wild wild west where anyone can say anything.I saw this company on TikTok and, while they weren’t any different in making claims, there was one thing different about them that was easy to understand that made sense to me.They were the only one that used probiotic “strains” that originally came from humans. I was really surprised and didn’t originally believe it since, logically, doesn’t it make the most sense to use strains from a human to put back into a human? But for what I can tell, this is actually the case. Everything else comes from either plants or dairy, even the fancy options like Seed and Ritual.I’m not sure if this is just new or marketing speak or whatever but after buying the first bottle from their site, I checked Amazon and saw they were selling it here. There are about a zillion probiotics on Amazon and this is literally the only one that I could find that says anything about it coming from the human gut.
